Installation of Up-and-Coming DAS Technology

Hylan Datacom and Electrical recently partnered with a massive wireless infrastructure solutions provider to construct Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) around the New York City area. The client has been responsible for multiple, successful DAS projects in major cities throughout the U.S. The current New York project has been estimated to be the largest DAS deployment in the wireless industry. With the assistance of Hylan Datacom and Electrical, the client will successfully install over one thousand DAS nodes in the New York area. In record eight-month time, Hylan has installed approximately 275 miles of new aerial and underground attachments for the project.

 

Hylan is contributing to project management and construction services, supplying technical expertise and providing detailed knowledge of New York area construction issues. The project offers technical and logistical challenges, covering diverse terrains and aesthetic considerations. The client is a market leader in outdoor DAS networks, using fiber optic distributed antenna systems to operate carrier-class wireless networks. DAS provides unobtrusive wireless coverage and coverage in locations that cannot be accessed through traditional wireless sites.
